Stappenbelt Rabobank MTB Trophy
Sunday 6 May was the day of the 9th Stappenbelt Rabobank MTB Trophy in succession, a race with international status! This race is part of the Dyna-Sys MTB Topcompetitie. Laura Turpijn (picture) took home the victory for the Elite Ladies and Belgian Tom Meeusen came first in the men’s race. A 1,1 km track through Westwijk was the scenery for the Wielerronde van Amstelveen. After 36 rounds it was Mitchell Cornelisse who stayed ahead of the pack to win the race. Prof tour of North Holland
It was a beautiful sunny Sunday for the International Prof tour of North Holland. Over 200 riders coming from 10 different countries started in Zaandam. After 200 km in the Dutch polder of North Holland it was Gediminas Bagdonas that took home the victory. Team Time Trial (TTT) Energiewachttoer 2012
On this cold yet sunny Saturday the TTT took us to an even more northern part of Holland. Team Specialized – Lululemon took home the victory with an average of over 44 km/hour. After a grueling first 3 stages in which quite a few riders left the toer, it was another intense day on Saturday: first a 70-km regular stage followed by a team time trial (TTT). Sunny skies over the Northern part of Holland saw Kirsten Wild cross the finish line first in Winssum.
